Thomas Culp Obituary
Mr. Culp was a native of Clarke County and was the son of the late Henry Thomas and Annie Ruth Dixon Culp. He had been a long-time musician in the Athens area, playing the keyboard and singing with several area bands. He also owned and operated Culp & Sons Pest Control until his retirement in 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Culp, of Athens; sons, Thomas Randall "Randy" Culp Jr., of Athens, and Robert D. Culp, of Greensboro; brother, Michael A. Culp, of Carrolton, grandchildren, Ashley Culp, Katie Culp and Devin Ray Jacobs-Culp; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday, December 13, at Bernstein Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 14, in the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home, with the Rev. Buford Lockman officiating. Interment will follow in the Princeton United Methodist Church Cemetery.

TO BEVERLY AND THE WHOLE FAMILY YOU HAVE MY DEEPEST REGRETS I HAD THE PLEASURE OF PLAYING DRUMS WITH RANDALL FOR ABOUT 6 YEARS IN THE LATE 60S AND 70S I FEEL SO SORRY FOR YOU ALL I LOST MY WIFE THIS NEW YEARS DAY AFTER A LONG 14 MONTH BATTLE WITH LIVER CANCER I WOULD LIKE TO LET YOU KNOW RANDALL WAS A GREAT MUSICAN AND SINGER AND I WAS HONORED TO HAVE PLAYED WITH HIM .YOU WILL BE IN PRAYERS

Randall was special in my and my brother's musical lives. He was the older guy who got the gigs and drove us to them (we were too young to drive). What an education he started for us, playing in all sorts of juke joints and learning how to work the crowds :-) Randall was one heck of a musician and piano player -- better than Jerry Lee in my book.
