Victor Hutchins Obituary
A native of Gwinnett County, he was the son of the late Verdis and Ruth Paden Hutchins and was preceded in death by his first wife Peggy Brown of Madison County. Mr. Hutchins was a graduate of Buford High School, attended the University of Georgia and retired from Athens Tire and Supply Company. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of Beech Haven Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Emogene Harper Hutchins, daughters Janet Prince, Margaret Youngblood and husband Philip and Robin Drewry and husband Luke, brother Ralph Hutchins and wife Donna, seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11am Monday, January 7th, at the chapel of Bernstein with Dr. Stewart Simms officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 6th, from 3-5 at Bernstein.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Beech Haven Baptist Church, 2390 West Broad Street, Athens, Georgia 30606 or Prince Avenue Baptist Church, 2131 Ruth Jackson Road, Bogart, Ga. 30622.

Condolences to Robin and my nephews Matthew, Daniel, Michael. Mr. Hutchins was such a thoughtful, gentle-natured person. He made a wood carving nameplate for me one Christmas decades ago. Every time I saw it I would think of him and how nice he was to make something just for me. I'm sorry to have just heard the news. I hope you all comfort during your time of loss.

So sorry to hear of your loss of Mr. Ray! He was a sweet, sweet man!! He will be truly missed! I knew him since I was a little girl at OHBC. Then seeing him in the dentist office I work. He was a funny man and I just loved talking to him!! God has someone now to joke around with! Praying for all the family in their loss of a great man!!
