Alyxandra Voss Obituary
Doyline, LA - A funeral Mass/Memorial Service will be conducted at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church 11 AM Saturday, February 22, 2014. A reception is to follow in the parish hall following mass,
Born Sandra Adele (Mary Teresa) Voss on January 6, 1937 in Shreveport, LA, to the late Dr. L.B. Voss, Sr. and Ernestine Brandt Voss, Alyx is survived by three nieces, Linda Voss Savell, Marla Voss Shaw, Melody Voss Suess, and two nephews, Robert Lawrence Voss and John David Voss.
Alyx was an accomplished artist, writer, and musician who, having traveled the U.S., Canada and Mexico, spent most of her life in Shreveport. The majority of her career was as an executive assistant at International Paper Co., from where she retired in 1989.
In lieu of flowers, Alyx requested donations for Masses to be said for the Holy Souls in Purgatory-at any Roman Catholic Church.
