Mrs. Faye Yarborough Alexander

Mrs. Faye Yarborough Alexander, 98, died Monday, November 29, 2021, at her home.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Clay Waldrip officiating.
Mrs. Alexander was born November 4, 1923, in York, S.C. and was a daughter of the late Oscar Lee Yarborough and Carrie Lee Jones Yarborough. She was a graduate of Brockman High School in Chester, S.C., where she was a star basketball player. Faye worked for Springs Industries for a short while and was a homemaker. Faye loved her church and also enjoyed the Springs Golden Age Club. She was also part of Clemson Extension as a volunteer. She was a member of First Baptist Church Chester.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Alexander McKeown (Bob) of Rock Hill, S.C.; one son, Neil G. Alexander Jr. of Chester, S.C.; five grandchildren, Jennifer Allen, Alec McKeown, Grant Alexander, Caroline McKeown and Kit McKeown; seven great-grandchildren; a niece, Carol Germin; and a nephew, Scott Yarborough.
Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Grant "Pee Wee" Alexander Sr.; and a son, Lynn Alexander.
