David Tuttle Obituary

DAVID JOHNSON TUTTLE BORN: MARCH 19, 1957 DIED: OCTOBER 4, 2003 David Johnson Tuttle (46) of Orem, Utah returned back to his Father in Heaven on Saturday, October 4, 2003 after a courageous fifteen month battle with cancer. David is survived by his wife of twenty two years, Debbie McVay Tuttle, and four wonderful children; Bryce (21), Allyson (18), Austin (12), and Dylan (9). Parents, Floyd and Merilyn Tuttle, along with two brothers and three sisters; Robert Tuttle, Cheryl Burke, Marla MacDonald, LuAnn Samuelian, and John Tuttle. David is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom loved their uncle Dave so very much. David was born in Mapleton, Utah, but lived much of his life in Orange County, California. He graduated from Bolsa Grande High School Garden Grove in 1975 and served a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bolivia. David was an active member of the LDS Church, holding several leadership positions. Professionally, David was in the construction business, and later as a Real Estate Developer. Dave enjoyed surfing, snow boarding, fishing, and playing golf, but these interests were secondary to his real love which was coaching and watching his boys compete in athletics. Dave rarely missed an event in which his children took part. He was a family man, and leaves behind a legacy of love to all he came in contact with. He will be remembered as a soft-spoken, gentle man. Through all his pain and suffering he did not complain, nor engage in self pity. He faced his challenges with courage, dignity, determination, and a trust in God, which inspired all who truly knew him. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2003 10:00 AM at the LDS Chapel located at 28291 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Niguel, California. Interment will be at Fairhaven Cemetery in Santa Ana, California.

I am a child of God. My time on earth is done. I go now to my Heavenly Home, my battle has been won. May my Savior meet me there, and take me by the hand. I'll go with Him side by side, into the Promised Land. Til we meet again in the presence of our Lord, may he send his Comforting Spirit to be with your family and loved ones in their time of need. We send our prayers, and thoughts of love to your family. Peace be with you.
