Dennis DePrete Obituary
He leaves his wife of 32 years, Judy DePrete; his son, David St. Clare; his daughter, Lisa St. Clare; his grandchildren, Nina Minardi Brooks and husband Walker, Michael St. Clare, and Janey Whittington; his great-grandson to be born in June, baby Walker Brooks; his sister, Myra DePrete Casabian; his niece, Michelle DePrete Jensen; his nephew, Michael DePrete; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. He also leaves a large extended family and many close friends.
He is preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Mary DePrete, and his brother, Eugene DePrete.
Dennis was born October 21, 1943, in Providence, RI. When he was a child his family moved to Long Beach, CA where he attended Millikin High School. He attended Long Beach State College where he received an MBA. He was a longterm Orange County resident living in the cities of Orange and Santa Ana. He had a 46-year career with Farmers Insurance. He was the active proprietor of an insurance brokerage until the time of his death. He was instrumental in founding and funding Common Ground Spiritual Center and served on the Board of Directors there. He proudly served in the Army National Guard of California where he received the American Spirit Honor Medal for display of outstanding qualities of leadership and high example to comrades in arms. He was an avid stamp collector. He was passionately devoted to generously supporting family and friends.
Celebration of Dennis' life will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, June 14th at Common Ground Chapel located at 19211 Dodge Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92705. A luncheon reception in the fellowship hall will follow service. Directions at www.embracehumanity.com.

Dennis had been my agent for years. Sadly it wasn't until I read his obit that I found out we both attended Millikan High at the same time. Dennis was one year behind me. We might have even attended the same Jr High.
