Genevieve A. Linhoff

Our beloved sister, aunt, & friend Genevieve A. (Heying) Linhoff, age 97, passed away peacefully in her sleep. "Gen" was born in Brooten, MN to Ernest & Mary Heying. The 11th of 13 children, she was raised in Richmond, MN and graduated from Eden Valley High School. In 1953 she moved to Los Angeles where she met her life-long companion George Costello at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. Gen began working for the Angels Baseball team at the old Los Angeles Wrigley Field in 1961, she then moved to Anaheim in 1966 when the Angels relocated to Anaheim Stadium. Gen worked for the Angels for nearly 35 years. She was actively involved at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church as a Eucharistic Minister and as a member of the Bereavement Ministry. Gen is survived by her brother, Ernest Heying of Fallon, NV and her sister, Dolores Schloeder of Richmond, MN as well as many devoted nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest & Mary Heying of Richmond, MN, George Costello and 10 brothers and sisters. A mass of Christian Burial will take place on June 28, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church in Anaheim, CA. A second Funeral Mass will be held July 22, 2023 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN followed by inurnment there. Brown Colonial Mortuary, Santa Ana, (714) 542-3949
