MARIO BRAN Obituary

Mario Ernesto Bran Villatoro

Born on April 15, 1937 in San Salvador, El Salvador

Died on December 19, 2014 in Tustin, California

First-born child of Julio Ernesto Bran Núñez and Cristalina Villatoro de Bran, Mario was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Following a brave battle against idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, Mario died from complications related to the disease. A resident of Orange County for over fifty years, Mario last resided in Tustin.

A U.S. Army Veteran, Mario devoted his professional career to semiconductor engineering, where he excelled in the semiconductor equipment industry, rising to the position of Director of Research and Development at Verteq. He held a total of thirty six certified U.S. patents in the field of semiconductors.

Mario is survived by siblings, Roberto Mauricio Brand, Horacio Enrique Bran, and Ingrid Patricia Bran; as well as numerous friends and extended family.
