Meaghan Mikos-Gorski Obituary

September 22, 1968 - January 21, 2023 San Juan Capistrano Meaghan Ann Mikos-Gorski (54), of San Juan Capistrano, CA died far too soon at home on January 21, 2023. Meaghan was born to her loving parents, Paul Mikos and Suzi McDonough Mikos. She graduated from Palos Verdes High School (1986), Georgetown University (B.A. English 1991) and Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business (M.B.A. 1995). Meaghan was exceptional kind, giving, loving, smart, beautiful, warm, generous, and faith-filled. Her most important roles included friend, mentor, confidante, supporter, loyalist, organizer, and tireless worker. Meaghan would attest that her most important role was a mother to her adored son, Ryan, who was the center of her universe for the 19+ years they shared together on this earth. Her distinguished career in corporate marketing was epitomized by her leadership of a company-wide virtual town hall meeting mere days before her untimely death. Meaghan built, cultivated, and cherished meaningful relationships throughout her life. She maintained friendships for decades. She never put herself first always elevating the needs of those whom she loved above her own. She was most happy making others happy. Her devotion to Ryan knew no bounds and his accomplishments will be her greatest legacy. Meaghan is survived by her son Ryan Gorski, parents Paul & Suzi Mikos, sister Jenna Mikos Dadich, nephew Jackson Dadich, and countless friends. She joins in heaven her beloved grandparents Beatrice and Walter Mikos and Elsa and Bob McDonough, along with mentor Aunt Alice Mikos, and brother-in-law Michael Dadich. Meaghan will be remembered at a Mass of Intention at Georgetown University's Dahlgren Chapel on February 10, 2023, at 12:10 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Basilica at Mission San Juan Capistrano on February 27, 2023, at 11:00 am with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Society of Gynecologic Oncology https://www.sgo.org/

Paul and Suzi--So deeply sorry to hear about your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Meaghan when she was just a little girl and again at a business presentation many years later. I remember Paul's father talking about her when she was little. She was the apple of his eye.
I can only imagine the grief that must fill the hearts of you, your family and everyone whose life she touched.
I pray God watches over her son.
Cousin,
Chris Larsen (Pudelwitts)

Meaghan, your intelligence, warmth, and radiant smile will be dearly missed. At work, you led with positivity, creative vision, and good humor. At the many holidays our families shared, I’ll forever hear the heartiness of your laugh as stories were retold. You always made sure the most hilarious details were not left out. To me you were a friend and role model. Your amazing relationship with Ryan inspired me to be a better parent, and I’ll bring with me the wisdom you shared when I became a new dad. I love you Meaghan and your influence and energy will carry forward in our hearts.

I knew Meaghan through from my friend, Stacy Garduno - she and Meaghan had been best friends since they were little girls. My heart broke in half when I heard the news about Meaghan, she was a bright light who had a smile that would make you feel welcome, no matter who you were. I send all my love to her family and friends. This loss is monumental.
