I'm saddened to hear of the passing of my former UCF colleague, Prof. Andrew Judd. My many conversations with him over the years were always enjoyable, characterized by his charm, cordiality, and graciousness--as evidenced in the photo accompanying his obituary. A man of many interests and hobbies, he once injured his arm on a DIY project. As my liaison role was to support our faculty, he requested that I sit in on his next class to provide any needed help--distributing materials to students, setting up his computer presentations, etc. I gladly agreed to assist such a respected colleague. And the next time I saw him, he generously presented me with a bottle of Irish whiskey for my back-up. That was so Andy, always the consummate gentleman. I send my heartfelt thoughts and prayers to all of his family.

Dr. Judd "gave me" my only B in grad school and he and I exchanged barbs about it for years. He was definitely one of a kind and will be remembered for his wittiness.

Dr Judd was one of my favorite UCF professors when I was a student in the early 1990s. 25 years later I had the pleasure of meeting up with him at Hagerty High girls soccer games, and he remembered almost every detail about me. Always smiling, always a positive word and a familiar face. I am very sorry to hear of his passing.
