Anna Kypraios passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018, at the age of 97 years. Anna, born in Greece, moved to the United States with her husband and son in 1955. In love with her husband, a devoted mother, sister and grandmother, she worked hard, and was an incredible cook and hostess to all. She loved tailgating at University of Delaware football games, and loved this country.Anna will be lovingly remembered by her son, Harry Nicholas Kypraios; daughter-in-law, Viviana Kypraios; four grandchildren: Melissa Kypraios Driver, Nicole Kypraios Gist, Nicholas Kypraios and Matteo Kypraios; and three great grandchildren. Anna will also be forever remembered by her sister Maria Anthopoulos, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas H. Kypraios, and four brothers: Panayiotis Columbis, Nicholas Columbis, Jerry Columbis and Peter Columbis.A celebration of Anna's life will be held Saturday, December 15 at 8:30 a.m. at Carey Hand Funeral Home on East Curry Ford Rd., followed by services at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Daytona Beach, FL at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Ormond Beach. Donations may be made in memory of Anna to the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Daytona Beach, FL.

I´ll always have a place in my heart for my earliest caretaker, my grandmother Anna, or as everyone called her, Yia Yia. I will always love her and while I'm happy she´s reunited with her husband, I do miss her. Guess I´ll have to wait a while till we can go to macaroni grille together again, but I´ll impress her when i see her. Trust me I couldn´t let her down if I tried.

Dear Anna, may your spirit and memory be eternal!

I learned a lot from you. You were very generous and always wanted to help. If something went wrong you'd say to me: "tomorrow is another day..."

Your belief in life has been an inspiration to me! You did not give up and fought whatever came at you...war, tuberculosis, cancer, husband loss, and sickness. But most of all, you were the glue to our Family and it will never be forgotten.
