Arthur Hall Obituary

HALL, ARTHUR I. LT/COL USAF passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009. He was born August 4, 1924 in Elyria, Ohio. He had an avid interest in aviation since childhood with his twin brother, Arch. He served during World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. He was an Air Force Fighter Pilot, and gained the rating of Command Pilot. His second career was at Lockheed Martin as a Design Engineer until retiring in 1990. He authored a newly published book, Howard's Golden Age, a technical/autobiographic novel that exemplified his passion for Aviation History, Design, and Air Racing. He is survived by his wife Jan, of 62 years; two sons: Gregory, Altamonte Springs, Terry (Kathy) Isabella, PR, daughter, Angie (JC) Mahr, Winter Park; sister Grace Elsea, Upland, Ca.; four grandchildren: Mindy (Brian) Albury, Kari Mahr, Noelle Hall, and Emily Hunter; two great grandchildren: Brett Albury and
Addison Albury. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 22 at 1:00 pm at Winter Park Presbyterian Church, 400 S. Lakemont Avenue, Winter Park, Fl. Interment will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to COLLISON FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATORY HOWELL BRANCH CHAPEL 3806 Howell Branch Rd. I am sorry I was unable to attand the funeral but Lyn was there for us. Your husband was a good man and a great soldier. May God bless and keep him and your family.
