Eden, Barbara JeanAn amazing mother, sister, nana, and friend; earned her angel wings on Friday, September 13th, 2013. Born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 29, 1943, the daughter of Lawrence Eden and Clara Adams. As a native of Orlando, Barbara's many life accomplishments included modeling for Minute Maid Company, managing Merle Norman Cosmetics on Park Avenue in Winter Park, Florida, appearing in films Jaws 3, and Screwball Hotel. Barbara, loving a challenge, obtained her Life and Health Insurance License and became an outstanding agent with Standard Life and Health; earning a trip to Hawaii for top performers. Barbara then accomplished obtaining her Florida, Nevada, and Rhode Island real estate license; excelling as a manager for multiple Vacation Ownership resorts. Barbara's enjoyments in life were: fishing, bowling, baking, diving, snow skiing, computer games and anything that presented a challenge. Barbara adored her family and her canine companions. She was an amazing lady who was known for her class, elegance, and carrot cake. In June 2013, she was diagnosed with lung cancer and courageously fought that battle and won. She passed away suddenly on Friday evening, September 13th, 2013 from heart complications. Barbara's proud family legacy includes her daughters Debbie Rath and Cindy Kaplus. Their families include Craig Rath, Suzi Vachon and Bobby Kaplus.Barbara's grandchildren include, Michele Quinn, Nichole Gibson, her husband Skip, Jamie Kaplus, Chad Kaplus and Lauren Kaplus. Her siblings include, Ronald Anderson, his wife Lynn, Susan Bundy her partner Ken Elmore and Sheila Elmore and her husband Eugene.She had many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Eden, her mother, Clara Anderson, her son Albert Dean Maynard, sisters, Ethel Hogg, Flora Carter and her grandson Michael Quinn. A Mass will be held at 11AM on Saturday 9/21/13 at Holy Family Catholic Church, located at 5125 South Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL 32819.
