Charles Gaines Obituary

GAINES, III, CHARLES AUGUSTUS, Charlie Gaines passed away peacefully at Florida Hospital on May 14, 2004, Orlando at the age of 52. He was employed by The Federal Mediation Conciliation Service as a Federal Commissioner. Receiving many accolades, Charlie repeatedly demonstrated his ability to resolve conflicts with national impact and notoriety. His life was a celebration encompassing all of the virtues of moral and can do elements that fueled his success. He leaves us a rich legacy of wisdom and love. Charlie is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Fabiola Demps-Gaines; daughter, Devona Nicole Gaines; son, Tramaine Vincent Gaines; his mother, Mary Alice Gaines; sisters, Audrey Allison (David), Deborah Mitchell, Ortansis Gaines; brothers, Leonard Gaines (Jackie), Evangelist Thomas Gaines (Pamela); sisters-in-law, Barbara Holmes, Eunice Demps, Jeanette Hudson (Glen); brother-in-law, John L. Demps Jr.; and a host of caring aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Viewing Service will be held at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Institutional Church on Friday, May 20, 2004 from 4-7PM. Celebration Services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2004 at 11AM at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Institutional Church; 535 West Washington Street, Orlando, FL 32801. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park; Orlando, Florida. Services are entrusted to Mitchell's Funeral Home, 501 Fairvilla Road, Orlando, FL. 407 298-0703.
