Chris Hahn Obituary

HAHN, CHRIS was known for three things; an ever present smile, a positive attitude, and a complete devotion to his wife Beth (Argeroudis). On May 26, 2009, after a 16 month battle with lymphoma, Chris passed away at Manchester Memorial Hospital in Manchester, CT. Chris was born in Charleston, WV on December 29, 1983 and moved with his family to Washington, DC when he was 5 months old. When he was 7, he moved again with his family to Orlando, FL where he graduated from Trinity Lutheran School in 1997. He was
accepted into the Visual and Performing Arts program at Dr. Phillips High School and graduated in 2001. Chris continued his education at Florida State University and graduated in 2005 with a degree in Media Production. While at FSU, he met his wife Beth at University Lutheran Church. Both Chris and Beth were active members at ULC by singing in the choir and with other student activities. In addition to his love of music and television production, Chris was a devoted fan of FSU Seminole Football. Chris and Beth were married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Orlando on June 3, 2006. They moved to Bristol, CT where Chris worked for ESPN as a video editor. Chris and Beth were active members of Bethany Lutheran Church in West Hartford, CT where they continued to sing in the choir and perform music together. Chris became ill in January of 2008 and was diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma in February of 2008. He received a bone marrow transplant at Tufts Medical Center in Boston on Christmas Eve 2008. Chris and Beth stayed at the Neely House, a living facility at the hospital for patients and their families for nearly 5 months while receiving treatment. Chris had a
positive impact on everyone he met. Gene Caputo, a supervisor at ESPN said, "We all love Chris and found him to be the utmost professional and a truly gifted man." He was also an inspiration to the medical team that worked with him. Valarie Marsoobian RN at Tufts Medical Center said, "I am grateful to have participated in his care. The short time we spent together was crucial, yet rewarding. It was an experience which will never be forgotten." Chris was a devoted man of God and an inspiration to those around him. His faith sustained him through his
illness and he suffers no more. He is in the loving arms of Christ Jesus. In addition to his loving wife Beth, Chris is survived by his parents, Bruce and Bonnie Hahn of Orlando, FL, his sister Anna of Boston, MA, in-laws Pete and Cheryl Argeroudis, sister-in-law Tracy Argeroudis, paternal grandparents Edward and Cora Hahn, maternal grandparents Lloyd and Althea Schneider and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be Friday, June 5th from 5-7pm at Baldwin-Fairchild/Ivanhoe Chapel, 301 NE Ivanhoe, Orlando, FL 32804. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 6th at 10am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 123 Livingston St.,
Orlando, FL 32801. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The
Neely House @ Tufts Medical Center, 750 Washington St., Boston, MA 02111.
