Christine Rexroat Obituary

REXROAT, CHRISTINE, age 71 of Orlando, died on Wednesday, January 28, 2004. She was born and raised in Lexington, KY, where she graduated from St. Catherine's Academy and attended the University of Kentucky where she met her husband. She moved to Orlando in 1957. She was a Realtor Associate in the family business, Rexroat Realty, for several years and later retired from Travelers Insurance Co. She has been a devoted wife to James for 52 years, and a dedicated mother to five children. She is survived by husband James, sons James Jr. (Melody)of Orlando; Edward (Nancy) of Clermont; daughters Kathy (Paul) Bufkin of Lexington, SC; Mary (Ron) Hunter of Orlando; Patty Rexroat of Orlando; sister Lois (Harold) Barber of West Liberty, KY. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Wesley Bufkin, Robin Rexroat, Brandon Hunter and Derek Hunter, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to American Heart Association North Central Florida Area, 237 E. Marks Street, Orlando, FL 32803. Visitation will be held at 1PM at the Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Chapel, 2811 Curry Ford Rd., Orlando, FL on Saturday, January 31, 2004 with a memorial service immediately following at 2PM.

Chris was a very quite person, and due to that and our geographical separation I never got to know her extremely well but every time I did have the honor to get together weith her and Jim I was impressed all over again with her with her calm sweetness.
