Dr. Gilbert was a leader, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He expected the absolute best care for his patients and made certain that care was provided. Mistakes were not an option. He lived life to the fullest. The medical community needs more physicians like him.

Of the many people who have been in my life I will always fondly remember Dr. Gilbert. He was a great person to work for although tough on me at times. He taught me a great deal. He was a wonderful husband and father. His patients admired him deeply and alway knew they could depend on him. He was a leader in his fields of internal medicine and cardiology.

I spent 10 years working as Dr Gilbert's medical secretary. He was an incredibly intelligent man. I learned so much from him. My regrets to his family. He was a legend in his field of cardiology and internal medicine.

It was my working at Dr. Gilbert's office that taught me how to be an employer's wife. Dr. and Mrs. Gilbert set such a wonderful example of an employer. My husband and I tried to hold up their example to those Pete hired through the years. I have always had such high regards for the Dr. Gilbert. Sending prayers to the family for peace and comfort. A very kind man and a good friend of the Torrance clan. Ironically, I was thinking about Gil just the other day; 'll miss him.
