David Boesel Obituary
David loved sports and enjoyed rowing, baseball, surfing, snow skiing, windsurfing and tennis. He coached the Winter Park High School golf team for 3 years and was named Coach of the Year. He also coached his son's Little League Baseball team for 10 years. However, he will best be remembered for his exceptional amateur golf career. He won over 50 tournaments around the state and played in 21 national USGA tournaments, including 3 U.S. Senior Opens. He was the Florida State Mid Amateur Champion in 1988. The Orlando Sentinel once described him as one of the best senior amateur golfers in the country. Golf Week named him in 2003 one of the top amateur golfers in Florida.
He is survived by his wife Linda, his son Drew, stepson Richard deLoach, brother Barry, sisters-in-law Leslie Hinson, Marilyn Ingle (Jim), niece Melissa Hinson, and mother-in-law Diane Kazaros.
David was kind, compassionate, caring, and generous with an adventurous and fun loving attitude toward life. Memorial service will be held March 3 at 11am in the Reformation Chapel at First Presbyterian Church.

I´m very sorry to hear of David´s passing. I knew and played with him (sometimes partnering) through the Florida golf circles. He was a great golfer but more so an exceptional man. I´m deeply saddened by his passing. RIP, my friend.

So sorry for your loss. Met David at SFO coming out of boot camp. He talked a Limo driver into giving us a ride to Santa Cruz to check out the surf. We both spent our Navy careers with VP40 homeported at Moffett Field.
