David Popper Obituary

Popper, David Beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew and cousin, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 29th, 2014 at the age of 27. David was known for his magnetic personality, sense of humor, infectious smile and love for playing golf. When anyone thinks of David, they can't help but smile. David graduated from Winter Park High School, where he was captain of the golf team, attended Mississippi State University, and the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where he graduated from the Rosen School of Hospitality in 2010. Currently he was serving our country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Nimitz. He returned in December from a 10 month deployment in the Middle East and was stationed in Everett, WA. David was an avid golfer and was looking ahead for the opportunity to try out for the Navy Golf Team in the Fall. David is survived by his parents, David and Connie, his sister, Amy Oakley, brother-in-law, Christopher Oakley, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Northcutt, Mrs. Joanne Popper and a large, loving family. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, February 8th, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Winter Park. 1021 N. David, Connie and Amy,
We are so sorry to hear about the loss of David Matthew. I wish I was there to hug you all and cry with you. You are in our hearts and prayers even though we are far away. I will always remember David Matthew as that cute little boy in the carpool line with you Connie when we picked the girls up from school every day.
