As a regular for several years at Citrus, I could always count on Don to brighten my mood with his wit and enthusiasm. He was so friendly to everyone he met; such a people person! He will be missed tremendously. My thoughts are with Don's family and friends.

I was shocked to learn that my old co-worker and good friend Don Volkman, was struck and killed last Friday evening. I started working as a hostess at Citrus Restaurant in 2010, and it wasn't long before Don was hired. From the start Don was talkative, funny, knowledgeable, helpful, and eager to work! He was one of the hardest working people I've ever known, and over the next two years it was truly a pleasure to work with him. Don was THE most outgoing people-person you could ever meet. I always used to tell him that he missed his true calling, and he should've been a talk show host because of how engaging & friendly he was towards everyone he encountered! I learned a lot from him. I will truly miss him. My thoughts & prayers go out to Don's family and loved ones. He will be sorely missed.
