My Favorite Uncle. Uncle Earl was not a blood relative to me, but he welcomed me to his family when I was a 16 year old kid dating his niece in 1976. He was the man who baptized me. He had a warmth and happy spirit obvious to all who met him. He was truly unique in his sense of humor, optimism, and savvy business sense.
We became family when his niece married me in 1978 and 40 years later I still know I'll never have another Uncle like this fine man.
To Aunt Gayle, Bobby, Randy, Kim, and all of their families, I offer my most sincere and heart-felt sympathy. Everyone knows how strongly he loved you and rightly proud he was of you all.

Dear Family,
I know how it feels to lose a wonderful father like yours, my father was Jim Harris and we will never get over the loss of him. As your dad and my dad have taught us so much in life we will be able to continue their legacy. The legacy of right from wrong and good and bad but most of all of how to love, these men were such great men and I wanted you all to know that my father loved Earl and they are in Heaven talking it up with all their old buddies now.
