Sorry to hear about Ed passing. I worked with Ed for five years in Orlando. Ed was a very smart guy.

Ed was a good friend of mine in the mid 70s.we belonged to a civic & social group called the Orl JCs. which was made up of young men who ran projects for the community and made friends and business contacts within. we had many good times and stories to be held and told in latter years. ED went on to become one of the best commercial mtg brokers in the state. my father in law who was the president of the largest private held Real estate company in Fla said ED Byrd was the best mtg broker he ever met and used him for all his dealings. I lost touch with ED when he moved to Tampa. I will miss Eds larger than life personality, but will always treasure the good memories.

I was very sorry for the sad news. When I lived in Orlando from 1973 to 1982 we were close friends. He was like a brother to me and we did many things together. Ed was a smart, bright, funny guy and a great story teller. He made us laugh a lot, always had a smile on his face and always had great advice.
He talked me into joining the Orlando Jaycees where I met many friends.
Ed was highly successful in the mortgage bus. and obtained a loan for Fina Oil Co., the co. I was with, for a Joint venture.
One of the last things he told us after he retired was how much he was enjoying his family and grandchildren children. We will miss him and will keep you in our prayers
