Eleanor Cain Obituary

Generous mom and "Favorite Grandparent" best describe Eleanor Cain. She was many things to many people but what she valued the most was the gift of mother and grandmother hood. Eleanor was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. As an adult she flourished and fell in love with Winter Park, FL. Eleanor completed her education with Florida Hospital and served as a nurse. Her true calling was mentoring others in healthcare at Winter Park Tech. Upon retiring, Eleanor chose to surround herself with friends from the YMCA and St. Margaret Mary Church. Eleanor was always "happy to do it;" whether she was hosting a family gathering over a lingering meal, a bridge game with the girls, or taking a stray to the vet. She patronized Winter Park eateries with the family and friends she valued most. Please join us in remembering Eleanor with the compassion and generosity she radiated as you indulge in your favorite café. Eleanor left her body of 87 years on October 29, 2021. Her spirit lives on in all those who knew her, including but certainly not limited to: Joy and Terri Dorst, Brian and David Robb, Grace and Robert Dahlstrom, and Eileen Beiler. Memorial gifts are welcome at RainbowsBridge.com.
