I can remember Eric for his charismatic personality and his willingness to stand up for the little guy without a thought of how it may effect. That was Eric though a selfless person who saw the good in all of us that new him, even those of us with rough edges. I miss my friend dearly and pray for his family and friends. God Bless you Eric I know that you will be watching over all us.

I did not know Eric but I worked with his Father at Florida Hospital in Open Heart Surgery. I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathy to his parents and I know exactly what it feels like to lose a child, as I have lost both of mine. No amount of comfort can extinguish the grief right now and you will forever feel the pain, but in time you will begin to remember all the wonderful things he did and the things about him that make you laugh.
You will survive and life will bring you blessings that you cannot imagine right now. Just know that he will always live in your hearts.

My heart is broken for you. I remember when Eric started at Lake Highland in Pre-K and I used to do traffic duty behind the Lower School. I loved seeing you all come through the line in the morning--everyone of you smiled and waved at me. Eric was an adorable little boy who grew into a polite, friendly, kind young man. I loved teaching him, watching him wrestle, and getting to know him when he came to our house to hang out with Zack. Thank you for sharing him with me. I pray that you can find peace.

I love you so much Eric, you were like my big brother, always looking out for me. Drove past our old house today n remembered all the laughter, always nothing but laughter with you. I took Eric and my son Chris to the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. The half pipe competition and the Coke exhibit were a big hit. They remained good friends and Chris stopped to see Eric on his way through Gainesville to New Orleans where he just started law school. We will both cherish Eric's memory.

I still remember the first day I met Eric. He and my son were 4th-grade classmates, and he came to our house after school one day. That was just the beginning of a deep friendship that lasted through Lake Highland and well beyond. He was then and remained a courteous, engaging young man whose bright smile and loyal friendship will endure forever in our hearts.
