NINA SAWEY Obituary


NINA G. SAWEY

VICTORIA - Nina G. Ewing Sawey, 92, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 4, 2012. She was born on October 17, 1919 in Bishop to the late Pat P. and Eugenia Wilmeth Ewing. Nina was a homemaker and artist.
Nina leaves behind her daughter, Sara C. Sawey; son, Timothy E. Sawey; brother-in-law, Andrew Samo; sister-in-laws, Mellisse Ewing and Beth Short Ewing and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Orlan L. Sawey; son, Bennett C. Sawey; sisters, Thelma Ewing Samo and infant Elizabeth Ewing; and brother, Henry P. Ewing.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Grace Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Grace Funeral Home with Mr. Randy Brown and Mr. Gus White officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary Underwood, Larry Tom, Mickey Pachta, Dan Marshall, Bobby Fudge, and Glen Dorries.
Memorial donations can be made in Nina's name to the George Ewing Vocal Scholarship Fund at Abilene Christian University.
Grace Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
