My best memories of work are from listening to Gene Burns from the radio. He made my janitorial work place environment feel like just a mere visit ,someplace I could hang out at while I listened to the real goings on.He made me feel brighter in a bleek setting.Only he could do that for me. I clung to every word because together,he spoke as if he were teaching me to feel what real life was like, outside of my space.Mr.Burns educated me in so many ways and I am so proud to have been blessed with his thoughts streaming through that little old radio of mine.Thank You Kind Sir.

I listened to Gene every night in Calif. when Gene was on KGO, I retired and lost track of him and tonite did a search to find out where he was. Anyone who listened to Gene had a better vocabulary because of him, and I really loved him even though I never met him.
Rest in peace Burns Boy !

Dear Gene,
I always admired your amazing way of talking to people and your beautiful command of the English language.
You loved your family and your family loved you.
The time I got to spend with you was a pleasure...it truly was.
Wish so much we had gotten to know you better!
We will miss you, Cousin Gene.
With love,
Gerri and Paul XXX
