Frank Webb Obituary

WEBB, FRANK , 68, of St Cloud FL, died on May 27, 2009. He was born in Stanford CT on March 14, 1941. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Webb and Yolanda Messina Webb and step daughter Valerie Uffelman Clark. He is survived by his ex-wives, Claire Antonacci and Linda Webb; daughter, Robin Kenney, Frank (Debbie) Webb, Kim O'Rourke, Tracey (Andres) Herrera, and his step children Missy Tullous, and Krista
(Brian) Pletcher. He has 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Right from the beginning mechanics, cars and racing were his passion. He started his racing career with Vast Oldsmobile in drag racing from 1960-1963. He raced in the Nationals, setting many records. He went on with his racing at Danbury Race Track in CT, racing stock cars from 1963-1969 and drove a car that was known as the Flintstone Special. During this time he and his wife Claire started a family and relocated to FL in 1969. From 1970-1975 Frank owned and ran a CITGO gas station in Winter Park, FL and became involved with Quarter Midget racing with his son Frank. Quarter Midget
racing became a family event from 1973-1978, with his son won the Southern State Championship to name a few of their accomplishments. In 1975 he opened Webb's Garage in downtown Orlando. He continued to be very involved with the racing world building multiple engines for 20 different race teams. He was very well known for his Datson and
Nissan motors. During this time he competed in the SCCA series with Bosco Logsdon and Chip Williams as drivers and car owners. In his spare time he enjoyed riding his
motorcycle and boating; he was a member of the Kissimmee boat accade as a guide. Frank's family and leaving a legacy was a priority in his life. He was a stubborn man, a very proud and strong man and a bit of a pain in the butt, but a greater man you would never know! Frank was a good man. He was honest and sincere. You dont find that to often in the car business. He taught me to stick to what i know and you will be fine. I will miss you and one day we will meet again.
