Harold Lee Obituary

LEE, JR., HAROLD S., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 9, 2006. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marie Lee. He is also survived by a sister, Betty Penny of Hood River, Oregon, and her children, Richard, Dawn and Copper; sister-in-law, Bobbie Strickland of Orlando, and her children, Danny Strickland, Donald Strickland and Linda Chrysler, all of Orlando, and their families; cousins, Rufus Wilson, Winton Wilson, Dot Wilson, Louise Coleman, Sara Garnett, and Claire Ginn, all from Statesboro, Georgia. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Harold and Lucille Lee; his sister, Marcia Paul, his brother-in-law, Dr. V. W. Strickland, Jr., and his nephew, Nathaniel Avera. Harold was born May 23, 1923, in Statesboro, Georgia. He served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, helping America remain a free nation. He was a graduate of the University of Houston and spent most of his career as a sales representative. He will be remembered by those who knew him as honorable and trustworthy. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12 from 1-2PM at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home at 2811 Curry Ford Road. His nephew, Pastor Danny Strickland, will conduct the funeral service at 2PM with interment following at Woodland Cemetery.
