Herman Staudt Obituary

STAUDT, HERMAN R., peacefully went to be with his Lord on March 6, 2008 in Longwood, FL surrounded by his loving family at a local hospital with a pastor at his side. Survived by son Eugene Staudt, Waltham, MA; daughters Susan Staudt, Glen Ellyn, IL, Linda (Staudt) Allen, Lake Worth, FL. He was preceded in death by his son David in 1981. Also survived by his adoring grandchildren Stefan Allen and Jennifer Allen of Lake Worth, FL; his former wife Virginia Staudt, Glen Ellyn, IL; brother William and sister-in-law Julie Staudt, Yonkers, NY; sister-in-law Dorothy Staudt, and numerous nieces and nephews in US and family in Bietigheim-Bissengen, Ger-many. Mr. Staudt had many cherished friends around the world who will also miss him and celebrate his life in memories. From 1954 to 1972 Mr. Staudt enjoyed working at Martin Marietta Corp (which later became Lockheed Martin) in Maryland and Orlando. 1973-1975 Mr. Staudt honorably served under Richard
Nixon and Gerald Ford as
Under Secretary of the Army. Mr. Staudt attended the symphony and theatre and took great pleasure in his oil painting classes. He was a beloved father, grandfather, leader, student, participant, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He enjoyed life to the fullest, always positive, generous, and was a fine model of a first-class man. A Memorial Service will be held at Village on the Green "Longwood Room" 500 Village Place, Longwood, FL 32779 407-788-2300, on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 2PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be offered in his memory to
Hospice of the Comforter, 480 W. Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714, or online www.hospiceofthecomforter.org
