John Floren Obituary

FLOREN, SR., JOHN R., age 70 of Orlando, passed away July 12, 2007 at his home on Lake Picket. Mr. Floren was born January 8, 1937 in Brockton, MA, moved to Vero Beach, FL in 1960, then to Altamonte Springs in 1969 where he began his successful cemetery ownership of Glen Haven Memorial Park, Chapel Hill Cemetery, and Highland Memory Gardens. Mr. Floren also conducted sales and motivational seminars throughout the United States and was a past President of the Cemetery Association. During his Vero Beach years he hosted the television show "Danger is My Business" and also appeared in "Jaws III". John enjoyed fishing, flying, scuba diving, boating, horses, fine automobiles, acting, writing, poetry and especially riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed life and loved his family. John will be missed by his wife, Glenda; sons, Alan, John Jr. and Dale; daughter, Terri; grandsons, Andrew, Brandon, Joel, Max, and Chase; along with extended family and friends. He was one of a kind. A gathering will be held Saturday, July 28th at 3:30PM with a Memorial Service to follow at 4PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.
