Many years ago you cast a young girl as Gretel in Hansel & Gretel. You instilled a love for theater that day that continues until now. When I faltered, you encouraged me and told me that it would be a crime if I didn't use my talents. Today I manage a theater up here in Virginia. You taught me so very, very much and I will never forget you.

I am saddened to read of Brother John's passing. I knew him in Orlando at the Cathedral Church of St. Luke, as a holy man of God and as an artist. I am privileged to have a print of his Madonna drawing. We visited in Ocala when I did outdoor art shows there. Saw him last about a year ago at Grace Church. He lived a good life that touched many people. We are all better for having known him.

Brother John, I want to thank you for your amazing spirit and the influence that you had on my life and so many others. You truly lived an authentic life, always beating your own drum. Your spirit will live in each of us forever. Thank you for giving me the gift of courage. My karaoke talent is because of you. You will be missed. You are still very loved. Godspeed!

Brother John... You will truly be missed by both of us. Some of our lives fondest, and funniest, memories are of you and your shenanigans.
You helped to shape many lives, both children and adult, including ours.
We love you,
