Joe entered our circle of friends in Bloomington and soon found himself smack dab in the middle. He always had a smile on his face and beer mugs in the freezer. He introduced me to fine wine, and I met the the love of my life at his house 28 years ago. The warm sunny memories of Joe will stay with me forever. Our thoughts are with you Trina.

Trina, so sorry to hear about Joe. You've been in my thoughts ever since I read it in the newspaper. I have a great picture of Joe with Jeff and Kathy at my housewarming. He was such a character and will be sadly missed.

Trina and Family,

So sorry to hear about Joe. Just recently we commented we had not seen Joe outside in his workshop waving at us as we drove by. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We'll always remember what a good neighbor he was and how quickly he organized a team to help remove the tree from our roof.
He had a good heart.

Dear Trina, Kelly and Gus,

Your home has always been the gathering place on our street. It is where family, friends and neighbours have always felt welcome. The familiar "Howdy Neighbour!" will be missed, along with the constant sounds of Joe tinkering in his work shed and NPR playing in the background.

If ever we needed a cup of sugar, to borrow a tool, someone to watch the house when we were gone or and extra set of hands to help move something heavy, you and Joe have always been there.

Joe was very dear to us and we will miss him. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I knew Joe when he was working at Westinghouse in Bloomington in the late 70s. Friends and I spent many hours at his house, drinking wine, listening to music, and laughing. He was always cheerful, on the go, and ready for anything. I was a lowly student and regarded him as one of the most intelligent people I had ever met. Believe it or not, I have thought about him over the years. Am glad to hear that he was happy and was so loved by friends and family. My prayers go out to his family and children. What a loss.
