Joshua George Obituary

GEORGE, JOSHUA
MICHAEL, 2/23/80 - 08/06/06 Josh lived a life of many trials, triumphs, good times and laughter. He was a kind and strong willed guy with a huge heart and a uniqueness that only those closest to him know. On the outside Josh wore a hard shell, on the inside he was the best friend anyone could ask for. Everyone had their own unique relationship with Josh. He may be missing years that we get to experience, but God pours life into death and death into life without a drop to be spilled. Although Josh was taken from us much too early, God's intentions for him were fulfilled on Earth. In some way, he sincerely touched everyone he knew and loved, and because of that, his memory will live on forever. It is said that, To live in hearts we leave behind, is not to die. Josh is our new angel l and he is and always will
surround us.

Well, it’s been 14 years and I still feel you walking with me everyday. Still miss you as much as day one. Your memory hasn’t faded but all the people who promised to look out for yours did. I told you I’d always handle business. Still your number one till the day I meet you again. Much Love

12 years later and I still feel lost without you. Ive been through it all since after you left us and none of it seems like it would be the same if you were still here. I love you more than anything and would give up everything I have for 1 more day with you. I love you and miss you brother. Youll forever hold a place in my heart.

Every single time I think that I don't have to cry anymore, another ocean comes.... I miss you Josh, more than anyone will ever know. I was thinking the other day of that night I got lost driving...LOL..and I called you and you were laughing at me but got me home. You KNOW why that was so funny too...

Josh, You were like a big brother that we all looked up to. Everyday since you been gone I've wished I could have just told you "thank you". Thank you for everything you did for me. Thank you for the advice. Thank you for being the person I knew I could call anytime for anything. Thank you for looking out for me. Thank you for being the person who was there to help me no matter what it was. Thank you for being the best friend that anyone could ask for. Thank you for being you. You will never be forgotten. In this time of unpleasant emotions, I reflect back on all the advice you gave, converstions about life, human behavior, and society as a whole. You were a brilliant man and we should all strive to achieve your level of humanity, selfrespect, and honor. You were somebody I could look up to. I'm glad we got our time on Spring Break---- save me a spot brother.

I will never forget all the times we would hang out at Elm Park,in the neighborhood or when you would walk me home from school when I was a freshman. The memories will never fade. My heart goes out to your family. May God comfort them and ease their hearts and minds that you are with the Lord. You will always live in my heart and mind.

I was sorry to hear the news of Josh's passing. During my early high school years, Josh and I hung out quite a bit as he did with all of the guys around that area like Scutt, Luke, Willy and bunch of others. I remember playing pick up basketball and football and having a great time. I hadn't seen Josh in almost 8 yrs up until about 8-9 months ago when I saw him downtown. After talking to him for awhile it seemed that he was happy and content with his life. I can best describe Josh as a guy who stood up for himself and his friends. He was a incredible athlete and a stand-up guy who could be always be relied on. I know he is at peace now and in a better place.

Joshy, I made this guest book & obit in the paper because there are a lot of words and feelings left unsaid from many people. I would do anything to change what happened, but what's done is done. I that miss you beyond words. EVERY DAY I hurt so much inside just thinking that we cant just call eachother or hang out. We had SOOOO many laghs and good times together and you will always be in my heart. There have been times when I have gone places that we used to go, and it's just not the same anymore. I know that you wouln't want everyone sad and crying though, so we think of your strenght and try to use it to get through each day. Rest in Peace Joshy. I love you always. Thank you for being ing my life.

Love Forever,

Sheana M. Goff
