Joyce A. Osborne

OSBORNE, JOYCE A., 76, died Monday, September 19, 2004 at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. Born in Fredericksburg, VA, she lived most of her life in Fort Wayne and was deeply involved in international trade throughout her career, having worked for over 30 years for Gerson International Corp. Prior to that for Platka Export, also of Fort Wayne and Wiley Export of Auburn, IN. She retired in 1997 and moved to Florida for six years, returning to Fort Wayne in 2003. She served on the Indiana District Export Council for eight years, making recommendations to the Governor of Indiana, working to improve and implement new programs for the expansion of Indiana world trade. She is survived by a daughter Jan Paddock of Eustis, FL; a son, Del Hay of Fort Wayne; brothers, James Kesel of Woodbridge, VA, Leonard Kesel of Augusta, GA, Russell Kesel of Pensacola, FL; sisters, Jean Tyson of Alpharetta, GA, Nancy Sexton of Ocean Gate, NJ, Charlotte Sullivan of Fredericksburg, VA, and Carol Wilkinson of Shiloh, IL; four grandchildren, Deborah Davison, Danielle Hay, Brian Hay and Lisa Platter; one great grandchild, Nicole Davison, all of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Kesel and Philip Kesel of Fredericksburg, VA and Pensacola, FL, respectively. She was an active member of Risen Savior Lutheran Chinch of Fort Wayne. Visitation will take place at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne, IN on Thursday from 6-8PM. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday at 1PM at the funeral home with Pastor Rodney Willeke of Risen Savior Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials to Risen Savior Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Longwood, FL or the American Heart Association.
