Julie Trusty Obituary

Trusty, Julie Julie Gaye (Cluck) Trusty, age 50, passed away on Wednesday morning, February 5th at UF Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida after a brief illness. Julie was born June 28, 1963 in Benton, Illinois to Elmer and Eva Faye Cluck. She graduated from Benton High School in 1981 and attended Rend Lake College in Ina, Illinois. She married Roderick L. Trusty on March 5, 1982. Rod and Julie served as pastors of Celebration of Praise in Clermont, Florida from 1997 - 2007 and were currently serving as the pastors of Westwood Hills Church in Gainesville, Florida upon her passing. Her love of music, both vocally and instrumentally complimented their ministry through the years. Julie is survived by her husband of 32 years, Rod Trusty, her son Blake, 21 of North Port, Florida and her daughter Baylee, 14 of Cross Creek, Florida. A public viewing of family and friends will be held at Family Christian Center located at 2500 S. US Hwy. 27 in Clermont, Florida on Saturday, February 8th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. with funeral service immediately following at the church at 5:00 p.m. Dr. Mark Williams will officiate the service along with other pastors and friends. Interment will be in Benton, Illinois. Any contributions can be made to the Julie Trusty Trust Fund online at www.cavenderministries.org. Pastor Rod and Family, Words can Not express how sadden we were to hear of Julie going on to Glory! Joe and I are praying for you, Baylee and Blake! From the 1st time we met you guys in Canton, our lives connected and we felt the love of you both! Julie will dearly be missed! I will never forget our time spent together in Clermont and her hospitality, her warm heart and her friendship. Our prayers will continually lift you and your family up and we pray for peace in the days ahead.
