My Beautiful Daughter Kerri

Soon it will be 20 years since God took you home. My heart still longs to see you, hear you, see your beautiful face and radiant smile. I will never stop grieving your loss. My love for you only grows stronger as the years pass, but I know someday I will be with you again.

I love you my Beautiful Angel

To Kerri's family:

I am late with note here, but I wanted to share some thoughts with you when I was a fellow server at Arabian Nights with Kerri. There wasn't a night that went by that Kerri didn't smile, laugh and tell some entertaining story of the day. She always was a bright spot in an otherwise dark, hot and fast-paced environment. Kerri was always willing to help in whatever form or fashion, which was great if you were a new person. I will always remember Kerri as the happy and personable friend I came to know.

Dear Kerri,

I also (like so many)am so grateful for having the honor to have known you. I can't remember a single time that you were not smiling when I'd see you. You brightened a room with that smile by just walking into it.Now you are looking down at us as an Angel with that big beautiful smile.I believe God has a reason for everything, but sometimes it is hard to understand the reasons and this is definately one of them.I know in time you will show us why He took you so soon.As you watch over your daughter as her Guardian Angel we all will be doing the same here on earth. Anything I can do you to help your family(my extended family) you can be sure I will be there. Some lessons have already been learned ,life is precious and every moment has to count. With love and admiration.

I knew Kerri only as Pooh. It wasn't until I got older that I knew her name was Kerri. She babysat for my single mother. My mother, sisters and I had the privilege of living next door to her. She was our friend even though she was older than us. She was kind and generous and helped my mom when she was in need and was a friend to 3 very hurting little girls. She was an awesome girl and I'm sure she was an even better woman. I loved her and was heartbroken to hear that her life was cut short. It's a comfort for me to know that she is still beautiful and strong and kept in the arms of the one who created her. I pray that the God of all peace will comfort you in your time of grieving. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Kerri's Family:

We use to live by you on Dakota Ave in 1983 - 1984. I was a single parent with three girls Toby, Brandi and Lindsy.

I feel your pain as I remember what a precious young girl Pooh was. We are so glad we had the privilege of knowing her. She touched our lives in a way that will never be forgotton. I will always remember her innocence and sweet spirit.

May the Lord give you great grace and peace in the days ahead.

Kerri,

I'm sorry that your time here is over because you have so much more to teach us all. You were an inspiration as a teacher and a horse woman. I worked with you briefly, but will miss seeing you on my visits to Florida. Don't worry about Paige, She has a huge family and so many that care about her. And you can teach me those horse tricks when I get to heaven. I will miss you often until then.

Next time I hear thunder, I'll know you're cantering across the sky.

With love, Lisa Hooker

To my sister(Pooh)

People have been asking me so many questions about you and my reply has been "It would take a lifetime to tell them all of the wonderful things that you stood for and more importantly how exceptional of a person you are". You always brought so much laughter everywhere you went and your spirit lives on in all of us. It has been an honor and a privilege to be your older sister for the last 34 years. In those times, we sisters have shared in each others joys of marriage, our childrens births, graduations, and so many other beautiful moments. This week, I must now share in the passing of one of my siblings. Such sorrow can never be explained, the loss is tremendous and will be felt for a lifetime. I promise to look after Paige (as all of the family will), she so reminds me of all your wonderful qualities and we are truly blessed to have her in our lives to share with her everything about you. I love you Kerri,(our Pooh)

Dear Kerri

I know you did not expect to be here for so short of time, but if I only spent one minute in your presence then I would cherish that time. Some people have only known you for a short time and I am grateful I have known you for over 15 years. I still think there is some greater "meaning" behind this, but that will show itself with time. I promise to take care of your sister, my wife, Kourtni and your nephew Ayden. I will also asure Paige is taken care of as long as I am walking this earth. You can be assured she is well taken care of now by Tim. I now know what you mean when you told me "You do not know Tim like I know Tim", I see that now. Your mom is doing OK but still has her moments. She is strong so don't worry. Thank you for showing me the meaning of life this past week another lessoned learned from Mrs. Baker.

With The Greatest Admiration and Love

Paige I also lost my mother at 8 years old and I was so mad when it happened and the only thing that made me feel better is that I new that I could always taLk to her because she was not gone! She is just in another place, and I can't see her anymore but she hears me. It is really hard right now but it will get better because you have a guardian angel watching over you, she is so beautiful, she is so smart, she is so strong, she is everything you are going to be and she loves you so much she is your mommy! She will always be there for you!!!!!
