Kirk and I were great friends in High School. We played Basketball together - well, he played, I got splinters riding the bus. Our pregame ritual before home games was to drive to the store an each of us bought a Sara Lee Chocolate Cream Pie and ate is listening to CCR and the Beatles in the car or over at his house.
I remember when his dad got hired by Disney and they moved to Florida.
I visited him and his family twice in Florida. He worked on the Jungle Cruise at Disney World. He gave me a great tour of "Behind the Walls" Disneyworld.

My Thanks and deepest condolences to Duffy and brothers and Mom. It was a very touching service. Not a dry eye in the room. I have nothing but great memories of my time with Kirk. Without a doubt the best jump shot i have ever seen. Lebron who is what i say. You guys never had a shot like LeKirk Myers. RIP, my friend. You will never be forgotten. PS: your Jungle Cruise spiel has been stolen many times over the years.

During the summer of 77 he was the break person on WDW Steam Trains. I was the lead but he ran the show. Loved working with him. We are praying for the family and those he left behind.

Sherri and I are very, very sorry to hear about Kirk's death. It was my pleasure and honor to be his friend, and to work with Kirk at Martin Marietta/Lockheed Martin back in the early 80's. We have many very fond memories of Kirk, his parents, Duffy and Doris, and your families. I especially loved Kirk's quick wit, clear mind, and his bundle of energy to get things done. May God bless all of you, his family.
Best regards, Dan & Sherri Robertson

So sorry and sad to hear this news. I just mentioned Kirk 3 or 4 nights ago on a post on FB. Kirk was a fun guy to be around, and a very good basketball player. We were always very competitive towards each other in the sport. R.I.P. Kirk, and my thoughts go out to his family.

Kirk was the genuine article, a fun-loving co-worker in the early days at Disney as well as a keen mind and well-honed sense of right and wrong. My condolences to his family - who will undoubtedly miss him most of all.

Sending my deepest condolences to Kirk's friends and family. I met Kirk in 1971 while I was a Tour Guide and he worked on the Jungle Cruise. He was great fun and always made me laugh. I was a better person for having known him.
