Lawrence D. Train

M/SGT Lawrence D. Train (Bud) (Sudsy) (Larry). Went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family April 15, 2020 at the age of 91. He was born in Potsdam New York preceded in death by his parents Benjamin P. Train and Dorothy West Train. Sisters Patricia Platt (Jack) and Joann Capwell (Robert). Nieces Susan Erway (Robert) and Kathy Kennedy (David), several nieces and nephews. The family moved to Elmira New York, marrying Joyce Clarke Train surviving spouse of 68 years. Son Michael Train, daughter Lisa A. Wilson (James Brent), granddaughter Jessica Wilson, grandsons Marine, SGT Benjamin P. Train II and Brandon Michael Train, daughter-in-law Alisa P. Train. Upon graduation from Southside HS, Elmira New York enlisted in the USAF 1948 joining the Office of Special Investigation as an administrator, receiving several unit awards and Commendation Medal with duty in Washington DC., Hawaii and Greece. Retired in Chicago, Ill with 22 years of service. Upon retirement he became an agent for John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co, in Orlando Florida earning the Honor Club before retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Masonic Temple Elmira New York for 60 years, The American Legion for 46 years, Disabled American Veterens and Air Force SGTS Association. A Military Burial will be forthcoming at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery Florida.Arrangements entrusted to Neptune Society of Orlando Florida.
