Lois Paulucci Obituary

PAULUCCI, LOIS MAE
TREPANIER, age 89, of Duluth, MN, a member of the Duluth Hall of Fame, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, in her home following a lingering illness. Lois, along with her husband, Jeno F. Paulucci, has long been prominent philanthropists in Duluth, Northeastern Minnesota and central Florida communities throughout their 64 years of marriage. Lois was enshrined in the Duluth Hall of Fame in 2003. Lois' contributions to the Duluth community are acknowledged by the Lois M. Paulucci Pavilion in Bayfront Festival Park, which the Jeno and Lois Paulucci Family Foundation endowed substantially, and by the Trepanier Hall residence for women in the Duluth YMCA, named for her parents. She was a member of the congregation of Glen Avon Presbyterian Church. Born July 9, 1922, in Duluth, and is a graduate of Central High School. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jeno F. Paulucci, Duluth and Sanford, FL; three children: son Michael J. (Joan) Paulucci, Palm Coast, FL; daughters Cynthia (Robert) Selton, Longwood, FL and Gina Paulucci, Wayzata, N; four grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jane (Kelly) Cardiff, Duluth, Minnesota, and her brothers

Trepanier, Lake Mary, FL. A private family service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2011. Arrangements being handled by Dougherty Funeral Home, 218-727-3555. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that a donation be made in memory of Lois Paulucci to the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank, 4503 Airpark Blvd., Duluth, MN 55811.

Always bounding out the door and making sure our snowsuits were keeping us warm as we built snow caves in the back yard. I never remember her being angry. I always remember eating in the kitchen and dropping a bit down for the wiener dog! She'd laugh out loud at our antics. She was loving
