Mary Greco Obituary

GRECO, MARY ANGELA June 18, 1933 - June 11, 2008 With family by her side, Mary Angela Greco died peacefully Wednesday, June 11 at her
Orlando home. She was 74. A retired registered nurse and avid tennis enthusiast, Mary was a fierce competitor both on and off the court. After
being diagnosed with lung cancer and emphysema seven years ago, she continued to play with her Ventura and
Azalea Lane tennis partners. When not swinging a racket, Mary enjoyed listening to Willie Nelson, watching "Judge
Judy," rooting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and tending to her plants (a beautiful hibiscus in her backyard, in particular). She is survived by her daughters Marisa Osborn, Nancy Martinez and Maryrenee Bruno; her son Roger Greco; five grandchildren; numerous, nieces, nephews, siblings, in-laws and friends. It was Mary's wish that no service be held. However, as any good Irish woman would do, she asked family and friends to visit a
local pub and raise a glass to her. Please do so in her honor. Rather than mourn her passing, Mary wanted her life-which was rich in love, experiences, and memories - to be celebrated.

Roger, Maryrenee,Nancy, and Marisa What an honor to have your mother in my life. She truly was the classiest lady I've ever known. I have so many wonderful memories of her to keep with me for eternity. My first Fred Perry tennis outfit, her first Buc's game , her 60th b-day , Roger's 30th b-day, my first tennis racket , numerous times packing and unpacking her, and just so much more. Thank you for having such a great mother and an honor to call her my friend. I close in the words of Willie Nelson -Mary--You will always be on my mind.........Love

Someone once told me that death is more universal than life and everyone dies but not everyone lives. I believe that Mary lived. God bless her and her family.

My deepest sympathy to the entire family. I had the pleasure of spending New Year's Eve with Mary several years ago at Maryrenee's. Mary and I clanged pots with wooden spoons. I shall always remember that joyous event in her honor.
