Mary Herr Obituary

?It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Mary T. Herr Barber (Hacker) of Lake Mary, Florida. Mary passed away January 28th, 2022 entering the presence of the Lord peacefully in her home after a valiant battle against breast cancer. Mary will be remembered for her positivity, energy, and kindness. She spent her final days surrounded by her loving husband, Bill Barber, family, friends, and her precious little dachshund and chihuahua, Coco and Pixie. Mary was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 29th,1951 to Anthony R. Hacker and Joan M. Hacker (Schimmel.) She attended St. Sebastian's grade school, graduated from St. John's Cathedral High School, and went on to study Interior Design at Bryant Stratton College. She spent a couple of years in California before living in Germany for 12 years with her former husband, Sgt. Peter Herr (deceased). Mary then moved to the Orlando area where she continued to practice her passion of beautifying homes. It was there that she met her husband, Bill Barber, who was by her side while she was building her design business, and their frame shop. Mary was preceded in death by Joan Hacker (mother) Anthony Hacker (father) and Johnny Hacker (brother). She is survived by her husband, Bill Barber, her siblings, Monica Olenchek, Anne (Tom) Fisher, Tom (Kim) Hacker, Patricia Tucker, Catherine (Dave) Scherwinski, Geralyn (Rick) Sellhausen, Joe (Penny) Hacker, Claudia (Jay Qureshi) Hacker and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and countless friends who will miss her dearly. A private service will be held in her honor in Wisconsin this summer.

Bill, There are no words, and know the silence is deafening.. Am a call away should you need anything.. May memories of all the outings, lunches, silly mannerisms and the endless list of errands she was always having you do bring a smile and ease the ache in your heart.
She was amazing and the love you two shared was heartwarming!

I am so very sad to read of Mary's passing. Mary was a great help to me many times over the years, especially during some very difficult times in my life. No matter what she was going through, Mary always had a positive attitude and a vibrant spirit. She was extremely gifted in her trade and will be missed by many. My sincere condolences to Bill, her family and all of those who loved her. I pray God's comfort will surround you in your time of grief.
