Thanks for being my friend. I was honored to have watched him teach, standing beside him just watching his genius. Not many people would let you in on their genius. What a great great man!!!!

It's been a year now Phil, since you passed, August 19th. I hope you enjoyed watching over the memorial we held for you out at OCN last year, December 17th, 2017. It was only fitting to commemorate the 20th Anniversary and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the Orange County Golf Center, which you envisioned and founded.
Many friends and family joined us and spoke of their experiences with you and your dedication to the world of golf. It was a beautiful day.
You had too much to do yet, so much more to contribute. Your mind never tired, but your body did. A multi-faceted man, driven only by you.
Thank you Cornerstone Hospice for making his last days comfortable.
Rest in Peace,
Michelle

The absolute best golf teacher I ever had. His stories were hilarious. His eye for a swing was incredible. His teachings were clear and functional. It was a privilege to know you Phil.

I was able to watch Phil Ritson teach years ago at Orange County National. He was definitely someone who had a great impact on golf and was an incredibly intelligent man. Thanks for everything that you have done for golf.

I knew of Phil Ritson long before he approached me on the driving range at Orange Co. National in Orlando. I was there for a tournament, hitting range balls when he walked up and tapped me on the shoulder. He was incredibly polite and made a suggestion about my take-a-way and wrist hinge. Immediately I started hitting everything pure and straight. I shot 68 that day, and upon returning home, my golf buddies called it the Ritson Hinge.. As it is in golf, the magic eventually faded and on a few later occasions I traveled to Orlando for personal lessons. I still have the video lessons and I will treasure them. A great, gentle man. God Bless you Mr. Ritson. I will not forget you.

Phil taught both of my daughters how to play golf. He was more than a teacher, he was a friend, a mentor, and over the years we developed a lifetime friendship. He would help anyone who needed it. Our family will miss him.

I learned a great deal from Phil. Rarely do you meet someone with such conviction of their thoughts on any subject. He was one of the best at looking at a golf swing and knowing what needed to be done to make the necessary correction. How he loved to teach. I will never forget him giving a golf lesson to my daughter Sophie when he was in the hospital. He will be missed but never forgotten. Fly high and straight Phil!
