Dear Ann, Robin and Rick.....I was so saddened to hear of Richard's passing and just can't believe he is gone. I remember with much fondness all our Friday night picnics in SVR, and if it was raining you always let us gather in your home. You all have been so supportive of the BOEC in Breckenridge, and I'm just glad we finally got the lodge renamed for Scott. Just know you are in my thoughts and prayers this Easter morning. Ann, I don't know how you'll survive without your other half...you two had such a special couplehood. Love you lots, Nona Brown

Richard will be sorely missed by all of us here at the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, and greatly honored for how his generosity transformed our school. Richard created the Scott Griffith Lodge, the cornerstone of our program, serving hundreds of children and adults with disabilities and special needs. Nestled on the shores of an alpine lake high above Breckenridge, the Scott Griffith Lodge is a beautiful log facility that serves as the basecamp for the many outdoor adventures we provide for our students--canoeing, ropes course, rafting, skiing. Through his generous gift, Richard has touched the lives of many who would not otherwise been able to enjoy the benefits of the outdoors. The Scott Griffith Lodge is a lasting legacy that does him proud. Our sincere condolences to Ann and the rest of the family.
