Richard Johnson Obituary

JOHNSON, REV. RICHARD A., 66, of Kissimmee, passed away, Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004 following a lengthy illness. Born June 10, 1938 in Exeter, NH, Pastor Johnson came to Central Florida from Raymond, NH. By his love and compassion for the furtherance of Jesus Christ, he served as Pastor of North Kissimmee Baptist Church for 14 years. His vision to open North Kissimmee Christian School became reality in 1994. His hearts desire for the school was see a gymnasium built for the students, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Richard A. Johnson Gymnasium Trust Fund at North Kissimmee Christian School, 425 West Donegan Ave., Kissimmee, FL 34741. Pastor Johnson is survived by his wife, Yvonne; daughters, Marlou Kapelet, Debbie English, son, Rick, all of Kissimmee; 12 grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8PM, Thursday at Grissom Chapel. Funeral services will be 11AM, Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 at North Kissimmee Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. GRISSOM FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, Kissimmee. 407-847-3131.

To Yvonne, Marlou, Debbie, Rick and grandchildren - I was very saddened to hear of Richard's passing away. My family and I send our most sincere sympathies to all of you.
