Ruth Kazeck Obituary

KAZECK, RUTH ELIZABETH, 65. On July 3rd, while surrounded by family, Ruth went to be with the Lord. Ruth lived a joy-filled life with her incredible husband, had the honor of raising two wonderful children, and most recently spent her days loving her three sweet grandchildren. Her favorite memories are from time spent traveling the world and laughing with family, friends and her Tribe.

She gave generously of her time and resources to many causes, including Young Life, Florida House, and more.

The celebration of her life will be Saturday, July 17th at 2PM at Maitland Presbyterian Church, 341 N. Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in her memory to Young Life Central Florida (https://giving.younglife.org, be sure to designate to Central Florida, AG326).

An online guestbook is available at AustinFuneralService.com 615-377-0775.

I was friends with Ruth from my first month at what was then FTU. She was more mature than I was even though younger. We stayed in touch through the years . Ruth joined a group of friends when we went sailing in the Bahamas! So much fun. She visited me in California after Tom passed. We had a chance to remember old times and have some fun. I loved her and Tom. I miss her so much. My love to her family.

I loved Ruth. We enjoyed many great times together traveling on the Sea Cloud, at YoungLife camps, and most recently at the YL2020 Celebration. She felt so good and spread her usual good cheer and warmth. I treasure all of those times with this sweet gracious generous soul and rejoice with her now. I will miss her. Love and hugs to Andy and Liz and your families.

Ruthie was the kind of mom I want to be like. From the moment I met her, she welcomed me and the rest of Liz´s friends into her heart and home. She was so easy to talk to and so kind. The first time I stayed at the Kazeck´s house, I remember her complementing a fleece blanket I had made. She said she loved it and asked if I could show her how I had made it. She ended up making one just like it. She was at every special function possible from our college graduation to baby sitting for Liz and Adam on NYE so we could all get together. I loved getting to know her more throughout the years. She was a very special one of a kind lady. One of my favorite memories was when she helped us out so much by picking my husband and I up from the airport on our way to Universal. I´m so thankful to have known her.

Liz and Andy, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was a special lady and we certainly had fond memories being with her. I recall one special memory long ago of your parents taking my young family for an eventful boat ride around the lake. They both were fabulous people to be around. May she Rest In Peace. God bless you and your families.

I met Ruth my second year at UCF. We were both in Student Government working for Lee Constantine. She and I became friends and had fun working together. Ruth was so lovely - both in looks and personality. She seemed more mature than me and I was older! One year Ruth joined David and I and several friends on a sailing trip to the Bahamas. 7 of us packed into a sail boat and cruised in the Abacos. It was a blast. We all remember that time and have recounted it many times through the years,

She and Tom were wonderful friends. We worked on Real Estate deals together. Tom provided the opportunity to help with my masters .

After Tom passed, Ruth came out to San Francisco where I was working and we had the opportunity to spend some time together.

While I didn´t get the opportunity to spend as much time together in the last few years, I never stopped thinking about her and the times our life intersected.

Ruth, you will be missed.

Ruth was a wonderful, loving and caring woman. Her and I traveled the world together - aboard the Sea Cloud, she was always my roommate; Africa trips seeing Young Life ministry and enjoying safaris together. I will miss this amazing friend; have many wonderful memories of spending time and sharing experiences with her which remind me of how special she was. Andy & Liz you have a wonderful legacy of faith and love gifted to each of you from her. May your memories with her bring you much comfort and peace. God bless you and your families.
