STRONG, SCOTT ALAN, 47, of Lady Lake, FL, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009. He was born July 31, 1962 in Hollywood, FL. He was a 1980 graduate of Wildwood High School. He attended Lake Sumter Community College. He was CEO of Electric Services, Inc and Strong Brothers Partnership in Leesburg. Scott was a past two term member of the Lake County School Board from 2000-2008. He was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Fruitland Park. He was an announcer for the Leesburg Christmas Parade. Scott was very involved in the community. Chair of Education Foundation of Lake County Golf Tournament for five years which raised over $550,000.00. Served on Central Florida Health Alliance Foundation Board July 1, 1999 to present. Member of the Leesburg High School Booster Club and Lake County Gator Quarterback Club. He served on the Board of Boys and Girls Club of Lake County. He supported LSCC Foundation events and many civic organizations throughout Lake County. He was a sportsman who loved fishing and golfing. He was a devoted husband, and father and a wonderful son to his mother. Scott was a model Christian and devoted time in supporting his children in their many school activities. He is survived by his wife, Lori; two sons, Chase and Chandler; two daughters, Michaella and
Madison all of Lady Lake, FL; two brothers, Steven Strong of Leesburg, FL, and Mark
(Donna) Strong of Lady Lake; two sisters, Dawn Parker of Clermont, FL, and Lisa (Paul) Jodray of Wildwood, FL; and mother, Janice Strong of The Villages, FL. Family will receive friends at First Baptist Church, Fruitland Park on Tuesday Oct. 27, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church-Leesburg on Wednesday Oct. 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. With Pastor Chad Driggers officiating. Burial will be at Lone Oak Cemetery, Leesburg, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Fruitland Park, 509 W. Berckman St., Fruitland Park, FL 34731.
