I was very disappointed that I was unable to attend Shaun's celebration of life. Although my heart was there with you all.
I had the pleasure of knowing Shaun when he was much younger. Seems like a lifetime ago. Over the years when someone spoke of Shaun or I would see a post about his business I was never surprised. I always knew he was going somewhere.
One of my first memories was when I lived in their house for a short time and the boys would come over to stay the weekends. All three of those boys were always up before the crack of dawn. What I remember besides them being incredibly loud was the amount of energy they all had. I think I even bought myself ear plugs. Haha! Now I see that this was the beginning of the incredible drive for life he had.
My other memory which I can see as clear as that day was when Shaun was getting ready to have a kool-aid stand. He was making the Kool-aid and talking about how much money he was going to make. Not sure if it was me or Bobbi that said, "don't forget to deduct your expenses". He looked at us like we were crazy. Lol!! Shaun was not having it. He was keeping all the profits. I knew that day he was going to go on and do great things in business. He was a little entrepeneur already.
Im sad to say I haven't seen Shaun in many years. But whenever I saw something he was doing with his business I would smile to myself and think of these stories.
I am so sorry for his whole family's loss. Shaun set the foundation for what he wanted for him and his entire family. When I think of all his family members the first thing that comes to mind is strong. So no doubt his legacy and passion will be fulfilled beyond any expectations he could have had. He was a great example and leader for his brothers and sisters. And from what I hear everyone he met. They in turn will do the same for their own children and Shaun's children.
You did great Bobbi and Mitch!! Also to all that helped shape him into the man he was.
Again so sorry for your loss.
