Thomas Wixted Obituary

Thomas A. Wixted, of Casa Grande Dr., Winter Springs. Born March 7, 1933 in Danbury, CT, and relocated to Winter Park, FL in 1983. Mr Wixted retired from the real estate business after 42 years. He was the Connecticut Realtor of the year in 1977 and received his Senior Real Estate Appraiser designation in 1982. He was the Volunteer Fireman of the Year for the City of Danbury in 1966 where he served as a volunteer fireman for 33 years. Mr. Wixted worked for the Department of Revenue in Maitland and Lifestyle Choice Realty in Winter Springs. He was selected by the People to People organization in 1993 to visit Russia as a Real Estate Appraisal Consultant. He was a member of St. Stephen's Church for 15 years and Head Usher for 12. A memorial mass for Thomas A. Wixted, who passed away Tuesday March 26th will be celebrated Monday April 1st, 3pm at St. Stephen Catholic Church, with the Reverend Father John J. Bluett as Celebrant. Visitation for Mr. Wixted will be Sunday March 31st from 5-7pm at the Chapel of St. Stephen Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Stephen Outreach Program at 575 Tuscawilla Rd, Winter Springs, FL 32708. Arrangements handled by BANFIELD FUNERAL HOME, Winter Springs.
