Tommy Harrison Obituary

Colonel Tommy Gordon Harrison, USAF Retired, age 83, of Apopka, FL passed away suddenly on December 9, 2018 after a brief illness. Tommy was born in Jonesboro, AR & served in the USAF for 30 yrs, in the Strategic Air Command. Tommy is survived by his wife of 60 yrs, Marty Harrison, their children, spouses, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Orlando, Thurs Dec 20th At 2:00 pm. Donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Friends of Music.

Marty, Gordon, Amelia and Elizabeth,

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you. Just as Tommy, with Gods help, did while he was here on earth. He was a true Warrior that "took care of things". The legacy he set will be long remembered. God Bless and rest in peace my great friend.

Col. Harrison was well known as The Strategic Air Command, 2nd Air Force Top Special Weapons Loading Team. As leader of the Standardization and Evaluation Team, he expected and demanded, nothing less that Zero Defects from his subordinates. Col Harrison's brilliant leadership by example and serious devotion to duty will long be remembered by those who served under his command. Now, beloved friend, that you have triumphantly arrived at the Glorious place the good Lord has saved for you,
in the Kingdom of Heaven, it is my fervent prayer that you will enjoy eternal peace and happiness for ever and ever, and until we meet again, I proudly Salute you!
