The years I spent working with Dr. Barnard at Winter Park Emergency Dept will never be forgotten. He was an amazing physician and person. He never gave up, he never quit fighting for his patients. He made such a difference in the lives of those he touched. He is surely in Heaven fishing forever. He is missed . My heart lost a piece today seeing this. Rest in peace my Dr. Dr.

Bill and I were classmates at the University of Miami School of Medicine graduating in 1975. I am saddened to just now learn of his passing. Bill was a friendly, likable, compassionate, hard working, dedicated fellow medical student. Clearly he became, as I would have expected, a fine physician. His loved ones and friends have my deepest sympathy.

Dr. Barnard is the father of my oldest friend on this good Earth and I knew him since Paul and I met in early high school. He and Mrs. B were always good to me over the many years growing up and Dr. Barnard even so after I tossed his anchor out in Mosquito Lagoon not tied to the boat. Paul and I followed in his footsteps and attended Auburn University, so a good War Eagle is due. He saved my hide several times when I got into poison ivy with the last time being in 2008 when I was out in New Mexico. I was always very much in awe of a man that could save lives and help people in an ER for decades. What a special gift. I remember Dr. Barnard always enjoyed a good steak. Dr. Barnard was and is a good man and will be missed. My thoughts, prayers and love to the entire Barnard family.

Dr. Barnard was my family physician from 1977 until he gave up his practice to go into emergency medicine. He was a kind, caring and thoughtful physician and I was sad to see him give up his practice. I never saw him again but I have always thought highly of him

Dr Barnard delivered my daughter Feb 1976. I recall his wife was pregnant at same time and hoping to arrive at hospital and deliver as fast as I did...about 2 hours!!! He was in a childbirth class on site so right there when he got paged I was in labor. He was our regular doctor on Fairbanks and then we saw him in the ER once when daughter got hurt at school. He was so good with her!! Paged for coloring books stat AND made sure everyone came to see her since he delivered her!!! Told her he was the first person to ever meet her and hold her and he just grinned. Very nice person and doctor. So sorry for your loss.

Pam, I was so sad to read about Bill today. I was lucky enough to get to know him (and you) in the last couple of years. He was a kind and good man. I will remember him fondly. Julie (your old nurse)
